How does the process begin?
In the first conversation we discuss the present condition of the building and the documents you hold. The title deed, the registration record if there is one, old photographs and any project prepared earlier are all useful at this stage.
If the building is damaged or has collapsed, do not rush — but do not delay either: a conversation held before the debris is touched prevents losses of evidence that cannot be made good afterwards.
We then carry out a condition assessment on site and set out, in a written roadmap, which studies will be needed (measured survey, restitution, restoration, reconstruction) and how the Regional Conservation Board process will run.
Including the following in your first message helps us move faster:
- The block / parcel number or the full address of the building
- Whether it is registered or inside a conservation area, if you know
- The building’s present state: standing, damaged or collapsed
- Documents you hold: title deed, old photographs, earlier projects
Authorisation and registration
YOY Mimarlık is registered with the Chamber of Architects of Türkiye (TMMOB Mimarlar Odası) and holds an Office Registration Certificate for independent architectural services (certificate no. 31-392). The authority to prepare and carry out projects on registered cultural property rests on this certificate, and the architectural services produced are submitted for the Chamber’s professional review.
